Anxious about something?

Feeling anxious and unsure about something? Anxiety is a fear based feeling and for most it's seen as an illness which requires medication.

Medication may work in calming down the symptoms yet this is not a cure. It's a band aid solution to shutting down your emotions and to stop you from feeling.

Are you willing to continue self medicating yourself? Does it really make a difference that you are doing this with prescribed medication rather than alcohol, or illegal drugs? All of them do the same thing. They allow you to stifle the feelings, and they make you believe you are in control.

The feelings you get are telling you something. These feelings are wanting you to look at what causes them, and do something about them. Your own fears are creating these feelings, and you can choose to use these feelings as a way for you to explore, and heal, or you can choose to continue living with self medicating treatments.

The next time you have an anxious attack by all means take your medication. Then notice the feelings. Stop and let yourself really feel the feelings and take the time to write them down. If you haven't started, begin to journal your feelings. Write down everything that happens before you have one of these attacks. Feelings such as anxiousness, or any other feelings like this are always caused by certain actions or behaviors which we may have a judgment on. These feelings always are a result of something that has happened to create this before.
