Separation Anxiety

Anxious feelings are you bodies way of getting you to notice

Feeling anxious is your bodies way of making you notice something you may want to look at deeper, and heal. Anxiety is a symptom originating from fear based beliefs which subconsciously continues to run your life. This symptom may be asking for your attention, and if you take medication to suppress the symptoms you've killed the messenger.

Medication may work in calming down the anxious symptoms, yet this is a band aid solution and a way to numb out and shut down your emotions. It could be a way you postpone accepting responsibility and taking control of your life, and what ever it is which needs your attention.

Medication may be what you use to help you make it through your day. It may be your way of avoiding yourself.

Whether you are using prescribed medication or whether you self medicate with alcohol, or other drugs they are all a form of numbing your feelings and emotions. Your feelings and emotions serve a purpose. Your drug of choice is creating a false security, which continues to allow you to keep suppressing your true self.

Every time you feel anxious notice the feelings that come up for you, Notice your immediate reaction. Take the time to write down how you feel. What was going on just before you were anxious. What were you doing? Who were you with? What was being said? Write down any judgments, blame or guilt you felt, and just notice these feelings. Keep asking yourself if you have ever felt these feelings before, and just keep going back in time, to when you first had similar feelings. These feelings are old and you will begin to see how they go back to your own childhood. The reason you feel this way is because it may be time to heal and live your life to the fullest.
